Donivine Stewart, the 5'10 class of 2011 point guard from Limestone High School in Bartonville, IL has verbally committed to Bradley University.  In addition to the Braves, Stewart had also received a scholarship offer from West Virginia along with interest from Iowa.

Being the hometown school, there is no question that Bradley had long been considered the frontrunner for Stewart's services.  Stewart had been on campus at Bradley numerous times and also took in a number of their games this past season.  Bradley's outstanding academic reputation and the opportunity for immediate playing time were both instrumental factors in Stewart's decision.

Stewart is a solid point guard who is not flashy, but above everything else is a leader on the floor.  He is a sound ball  handler and passer who sees the floor well and has a high basketball I.Q, which is why he simply does not make a lot of mistakes.  In addition, he has shown that he has tremendous scoring capability and that he has the ability to put a team on his back in that regard when the situation warrants it.  Above everything else, Stewart gives Braves head coach Jim Les a pure point guard who should get minutes right off the bat and has the potential to make an immediate impact.

Being a class of 2011 prospect, Stewart cannot sign a letter of intent until next November.  He competed on the traveling team circuit this past spring and summer for All Iowa Attack
